Square Dancing at ETH

On Saturday, Sept 24, Edmond Town Hall hosted an event to recognize a very generous grant awarded by T-Mobile through its Hometown Grant program for small towns. T-Mobile has a goal of awarding $25 Million over the next five years. The grant for ETH exceeds $40,000 and will be used to upgrade the facilities in the basement gym space. The 5,000 square foot space is used by residents and various community organizations for meetings and events. The event was attended by various dignitaries including First Selectman Dan Rosenthal and CT State Senator Tony Hwang. Community organizations such as Newtown Youth Wrestling, The Rocking Roosters Dance club, and our very own BSA Troop 270. Scoutmaster Rick Child, Assistant Scoutmaster Alan Blatter, and scouts Connor Child and Henry Blatter hosted a table to publicize our community service and opportunities for youth leadership. And our very own Scoutmaster Child (as well as Connor) participated in Square Dancing with the Rocking Roosters.
