On Labor Day, all of the Scouts BSA Troops and Cub Scout Packs in Newtown came together to march in the annual Labor Day Parade. It was inspiring to see so many scouts, leaders, and families from across our community walking side by side, proudly representing the strength and unity of scouting in Newtown.
After the parade, we joined forces for an all-Newtown scouting recruitment event at the Middle School. This was a great opportunity for current scouts to work together, share their experiences, and welcome new families interested in joining our programs. The event was filled with fun activities and plenty of chances to learn more about what scouting has to offer.
Before the parade, some of our scouts also volunteered to help our Chartering Organization, Newtown Congregational Church, with their pancake breakfast and parking fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who pitched in to support this important community service project!
We’re grateful for the spirit of cooperation and service that makes Newtown scouting so special. Stay tuned for more details about upcoming activities and ways to get involved!
