Troop 270 scouts WillieC and HenryB answered the call today. A Newtown Girl Scout reached out for help with her Gold Award project (analog to the Eagle Scout Rank) at St. Rose Church. She is building an outdoor 14 Stations of the Cross for the Church and school. Willie and Henry got to work on digging post holes. In the end, Connecticut's rocky soil won out, and heavy equipment will have to be brought in to finish the job. But, the Girl Scout crew were very appreciative of their help, and it displayed the best of what we stand for as a troop.
