Hanging Out With Troop 270

Today we had a wonderful time at the Adventure Park in Bridgeport. There were zip lines and obstacles high up in the trees! There were even zip lines going over our campsite. When we arrived on Friday evening, we pitched our tents and had a few hours of downtime before the big day.

The next day we all gathered in the morning and headed over to the place where we all sat and watched a video on how to use our safety clips. Then we tried out our first courses. The difficulty levels were divided by color, with the order of easiest to hardest being purple, yellow, green, blue, black, and double black. There were rope ladders, tight ropes, and even tunnels all in the treetops. It was quite a workout. We had a lot of fun zip lining and climbing around the trees. Later in the afternoon we all turned in and lit a fire.

Then we all slept in our tents again and were very sore in the morning as we rushed to pack up. It was wonderful and everyone persevered to try and get to the end. It was a wonderful showing of how everyone in the troop never gave up. Thank you everyone for coming!
