Day 4 Wednesday- Hump Day!!

Good evening everyone! The amount of stuff we've packed into these past 3 and a half days is really astonishing. Our daily schedule allows for down time from about 1-2 pm, 5-5:15 pm, and 6:30-7 pm. Everything else is programming, and I think we're all hitting the point where we can't remember if something happened Sunday afternoon or just this morning. On the bright side, I think the worst of the fatigue is behind us- I find that seems to peak Monday night into Tuesday morning. And the troop is really starting to come together under Sebastian's leadership. On the even brighter side, everyone seems to be having a great time and the weather, while wet at times, has really been manageable and was downright beautiful this afternoon again. We captured a lot more photos in the afternoon and evening than the morning largely due to weather.

Today's highlights with photos are below. And this doesn't even include the events we missed getting photos of, such as:

-the badminton competition (Elliot, Donald, Justin, and Aiden competed)

-Justin and Aiden going to knife throwing (don't worry parents, they don't sell throwing knives at the trading post)

-the many other merit badge sessions (Caden finally got to actually get into a row boat on his third day of rowing merit badge. Monday and Tuesday got thundered out)

-and finally, Aiden once again winning the stamina award for going on the storied Sequassen Hessian Hike from 8 until 10:45 pm!

And just one sentimental side note - for the second year in a row, I got to witness what to me was a really special "summer camp" moment. There were a group of scouts of different ages and social circles all having an absolute blast together at the waterfront. You'll see that moment below in the MANY waterfront photos which include six scouts- a senior, 3 sophomores and 2 sixth graders having a great time. I don't think that happens in many other settings and it's really cool to watch, so forgive me for the excess of photos there.
